私は今回音とまちづくりの関係に注目したのでその関連でみつけたことなど情報をのせていきます。
先日、大地の芸術祭 越後妻有アートトリエンナーレに参加してきました。
そこでみつけたのが、ジョセップ・マリア・マルティンの「まつだい住民博物館」です
これは、まつだい駅と農舞台を結ぶ今期リートの壁の通路に、松代全世帯分の屋号が記され、家主が選んだ「冬の色」で塗装されているカラフルな板で飾られた通路があり、ここを通るとおじいちゃんやおばあちゃんの声で、「さぁさぁ、入って下さい、ごうぎなうちですけども」、「へーらねかね、お茶でも飲んでかねかの」というこの地の方言の音性が流れる仕組みになっています。
視覚的な展示が多かっただけに、音で地域性を訴えてくるこの展示に私はとても心ひかれました。この地方に住んでいる人間ではない私にも、なぜだがこの音は自分を迎え入れてくれるような感じがして、方言の温かさ、重要さに気付かされました。
こういった音を利用したまちづくりは他に行われていないかと探してみたらAccessoires、
「サウンドスケープ」という概念を発見しました。
空間には音が作る景色があり、音は景観をつくるのにとても重要なものであるということで、昨今注目されているようです。

音に注目したまちづくり、というのはまだ少ないようなので、中西研の都市デザインの研究でこういったことを少ししてみたいなあと思いました。
